The Activities Department at Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center strives to provide opportunities to enhance the quality of life for our residents through activity involvement.
First and foremost, we strive to know the individual interest of each resident. A great deal of time is spent visiting resident on a one-on-one basis to get to know them and establish a rapport.
We offer a full range of special events and entertainment such as bowling, cooking and craft groups, reminiscing programs, movies, pet visits, and much more.
In nice weather we spend countless happy hours outdoors in our gazebo and garden area.
We make sure that people have the materials necessary for in-room activities such as reading, needlework and TV viewing.
Some of our group activities include cognitive games such as Bingo, cards, and trivia.
Several of our residents enjoy our daily morning exercise group which combines some low-key exercise with social time.
Many residents have the opportunity for outings. Community outings to local restaurants and for shopping or picnics are held each month.
Residents involvement in churches and faith communities continues once they are at our facility. We offer various religious services and also make contact with the Clergy on an individual basis.
